Exciting news from MV Advancements! MVA will be building a new corporate headquarters building in McMinnville in 2020 on the former Columbus School site across the street from Walgreens. The Center for Advancements will serve as the central location for the community support programs and services of MVA. The 10,000 sq. ft. building will accommodate up to 50 employees including administrative staff, community-based employment consultants, Community Inclusion program, training room, assistive technology resource center, and offer valuable space for community collaborations

In addition to an increase in operational efficiency and effectiveness, the Center for Advancements will Enhance access to services for people experiencing disabilities. The location of the property is in close proximity to public transportation and other necessary services and agencies within the community. Connect people through technologies that will improve their quality of life. The planned Assistive Technology Resource Center will provide users and the general public the opportunity to see and experience the positive impact technology can have on lives and assist with building independence. Educate the community about the skills and value of people who experience a developmental disability. Integrated employment provides financial independence while providing true inclusion for people and the opportunity to fully participate in their community. Cultivate community space that will allow for relationship building and opportunities to breakdown stereotypes. MVA is committed to the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially as it relates to building mutually beneficial and enriching relationships within our community.

With our transformation to community-based services, now is the time to consolidate our operations, create efficiencies, embrace technology, create public awareness, and begin the next chapter of delivering state of the art services to people with disabilities. Once again we believe our founder Margaret Reavis Larsen would be proud.
