Every Friday morning, something special happens at the park. A group of people gathers to walk, to connect, and to start their day with positive energy. Randy McCallister, MV Advancements Direct Support Professional of over 18 years, has been leading the activity since it began several years ago.

It’s called “Easy Walks” and it’s meant to be open to everyone. Friday morning people meet and have great conversations as they walk laps around Discovery Park, or inside at the McMinnville Community Center if it is raining. The real challenge came with trying to increase participation. Randy wanted more people to join, but it was hard for one Direct Support Professional to support a large group on their own, especially when everyone walks at a different speed and wants to go in a different direction.

That is where a group of volunteers from First Federal Bank: Sandy Schultz, Tiffany Best, and Sara Brown, come in.
