At MV Advancements, we appreciate every gift of time, materials or funds donated to help support our clients. There are many ways members of the public can contribute to our efforts; among them are these opportunities for direct donations.
Ron Edwards Memorial Scholarship
Ron Edwards served on what was then called the Mid-Valley Rehabilitation board of directors for six years. He brought two very valuable perspectives to the board. First, he was the parent of a child who has a developmental disability. Secondly, he was the controller for the McMinnville division of Hewlett-Packard. His combination of business and accounting expertise was a valuable resource to the board.
Edwards helped with several fundraisers for MVR. In 1999 he was asked to participate on the committee that created the Mid-Valley Open golf tournament. His assistance was invaluable in getting this event started. When he passed away in 2000, the board of directors decided to name the scholarship fund supported by the tournament in his honor.
Today, this fund provides vocational or residential services to clients who are not receiving money from the State of Oregon for a variety of reasons. Members of the public can support this event by participating as a golfer, making a donation or purchasing commemorative items.
The Special-Needs Fund
This fund is used specifically for clients who need additional medical support that is beyond the scope of traditional funding methods.
The Education Fund
This new program is intended to provide our clients with educational assistance, from college enrollment to books and educational devices.
The Endowment Fund
Direct contributions may be made for ongoing support of MV Advancements and its many programs and services.
